Check in at the corral begins with a safety briefing and basic horseback riding lessons. Great even for beginners, these horses know just what to do. Don’t worry if you have never been on a horse before. The friendly guides prepare you for your ride and make sure your equipment and horse are fitted properly. The horses here are happy and healthy. They are well trained and familiar with the old trails. Be sure to mention your riding ability when making your reservations. The ranch will play matchmaker to find you the perfect ride.

There is ample parking in front. We also have a full washroom and water cooler for your convenience. Before or after your horseback rideeel free to use the facilities.
We are one of the few Maui Horseback riding locations which provide a riding ring to safely mount your horse prior to the ride. Helmets and mounting blocks are also available if needed.
We have a set of mandatory attire to ensure a safe and pleasurable horseback ride. This gear includes: Long Pants (bluejeans recommended) & Full Coverage/Lace-Up Shoes
In addition to the mandatory attire, there are some recommended gear to make it more fun: Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Cameras & Hats. Our goal is to make this horseback ride the highlight of your Maui vacation.
Owner Ray Fuqua is a 25+ year Maui resident and naturalist who started 'Ohe'o Stables in Hana 14 years . He moved the business to Lahaina in 2004 to become Lahaina Stables. A former high school history teacher, his passion for Hawaiian history and culture almost overshadows the natural beauty of this horseback adventure.
